(WBRC) - THE NEXT 24 HOURS: The isolated pop-up showers from earlier this evening have dissipated. The sky will remain partly to mostly clear for the remainder of the night, with lows in the 70s. We experienced a big decrease in the number of storms today, due to a high pressure ridge to our east. This setup will continue on Thursday, with intense heat levels developing by mid to late morning. High temperatures will near 90º, with heat index levels ranging between 95º and 105º. We will have a mixture of clouds and sunshine, with isolated storms and showers in the afternoon.
